Our preschooler loves this naturally sweet, creamy recipe! So do I!
Banana Berry Overnight Oats
-1 small mashed banana (adds sweetness and a thicker consistency)
-1/4 – 1/3 C rolled oats (1/4 for our preschooler, 1/3 for me)
-1 tsp maple syrup (optional, I use it for our preschooler’s bowl)
-a few T nuts and seeds (I use 1 T of mixed hemp and chia for our preschooler and 3 or 4 T hemp, chia, almonds and pumpkin seeds for me)
-organic ceylon cinnamon, to taste
-pinch of salt
-organic berries (added in the a.m.)
-almond milk, to cover oats and fruit
1. Mix all ingredients except berries and hard nuts/seeds in a glass container or bowl, cover, and let sit in the fridge overnight. Add the hemp and chia at night, but all the other nuts and seeds in the morning.
2. In the morning, add berries and nuts/seeds, and enjoy!
